Kota Kinabalu Trip!

Went to Kota Kinabalu for a trip last semester break,

though most of the time was spent in my apartment doing nothing,

but still, i went to Manukan Island the day before i back to Sibu.

It's my second time been here, the last time was during my form 5 (if not mistaken xD).

The island is surrounded by blue clear sea which our sight can reach the bottom of the sea.




A kind of seaweed with their fruit look like grapes, some local call it "sea grapes".

Took this when i am leaving the island.

Here come the sad part. A lot of garbage which mainly consist of plastic bag and polystyrene

was spotted on the sea surface with some plastic bag which look 90% like a jelly fish.

It seems that Malaysians are still not very aware of the threat

of dumping into the sea which is really sad.

Saturated Ladybird

Went for Mr. & Ms. TAR finalist candidates shooting last Sunday, I am one of the four photographer which responsible for shooting male candidates(*aiks!).
Shooting from 12 noon to 6pm is killing me and my skin!

Westlake HDR Behind Canteen

There's a very good advantage being a photographer of an event - I can go in for FREE!!
Other than that i have the freedom to move here and there, sitting on the VIP seat.. XD
The shot was taken on the evening of Buddhist Night held by Buddhist Society on 17th of June. I was waiting for the event to start as i reach there 1.5hours before it start, so i just lepak lepak near the hall and went to the back of the hall for the sunset view, as i am quite addicted to HDR shot recently so i shot this view in RAW. So this is what came out.
I am trying to figure out why other's HDR can be so nice but mine looks like something is missing.. But this 1 seems 1 step closer to those pro's HDR, there's still a lot more to improve..

I'm going to start hunting for bugs and flowers soon.

Solar Eclipse

I'm really lucky for this shot as last time during solar eclipse, it was raining heavilly and i cant see the sun!!
This time, i though i would lose the chance too cause there was no cloud at the beginning and i seems impossible to shoot sun even using my fastest shutter speed and smallest aperture.
but at 5pm, some cloud starts to form around the sun and block those very-strong-sunlight and letting just enough light to pass through the cloud and give me the chance to shoot it!

First time shooting star and experimenting with the setting that i think, and it turned out successfully! the only thing is that 50mm is too tight for star shooting.
